I’m trying to find out how to actually vet a dealership before going in, not wasting another Saturday

Went to a dealership last month that had glowing reviews online. In person it was high-pressure sales, mystery fees, and inventory that didn’t match what was listed. Whole Saturday gone. So clearly reviews alone don’t cut it. How do people actually vet a dealer beyond Google? What’s the real process before you commit an afternoon?
