Where do I get my Story Mission Rewards from the story?

Hello, I am currently doing the story mode, in chapter 1-5 right now (yes, I'm new). I completed a quest and didn't press the Select button fast enough to get the Story Mission Rewards menu to take.

Is there a way to get my Story Mission Rewards outside of that small window or do they automatically go into my storage? It's probably some unimportant common item but would like to know for future reference.
