What would you consider necessities in your algotrader?

Hi! I’ve been improving my algotrader and genuinely interested in learning what everyone is doing to fine tune theirs.

I know there should be stop loss and profit targets at minimum; what else would you consider a necessity when choosing to build one?

Also if you don’t use algo traders, why not?
