Teaching in Pittsburgh

Career & Interview Advice

Currently teaching Social Studies at a college town but rural schools district. My wife who is also a teacher really wants to move to Pittsburgh. I was just wondering the experiences of a inner city school or suburb school. I've been at a bigger HS before (2200-2500 students), and the students just out right refused to do work (they knew that they would just be passed along), parents were stuck up, and admin was a pain in the ass. My new school I do not have that problem, love the kids, the teachers, and so far the admin. I don't want to move to Pittsburgh and find that it was like my old school. Any input on admin/teachers/parent/students behaviors. Obviously I would not move until a job is lined up, but would love to hear people's thoughts!
