Admitted to GWH today, NPO (no food) until Monday/later. Honestly starving and considering signing out AMA. Need advice/perspective.

[Discussion]

I came into the ER today (Friday) at 8 AM for a serious issue I've been dealing with for months (active GI bleeding)…
After a full day of testing in the ER, I was just officially admitted to an inpatient room. However the care team put me on strict NPO (nothing by mouth/no food) and told me I might not be able to eat or have procedures done until Monday or later because of the weekend schedule.
I am starving, exhausted, and losing my mind thinking about spending the entire weekend here without eating. I get why they need my stomach empty for potential procedures, but keeping someone without food for 3+ days feels unmanageable. I am honestly considering signing myself out Against Medical Advice (AMA) tonight and coming back Monday morning when procedures actually resume.

Has anyone dealt with a long weekend NPO stretch like this?

How bad of an idea is it to leave AMA just to eat and return Monday?

Any advice or perspective on how to get through this would be appreciated.
