Why am I not Receiving my Auction Items?

Maybe I’m doing something wrong, I’m placing the bid and the current price is the price I bid at when the timer ends. But then my coins just return to my balance, but when the time expired it was my bid. Am I doing something wrong? I haven’t played since 22’ so maybe something has changed since? Thanks.
