Boyfriend seems to be stalling over an event I want to go to

I 21F have been wanting to go see a band that i absolutely have loved for such a long time, they’re an older heavy metal group.

I was so excited to tell my boyfriend 21M, because I love concerts and want to share my interests with him, he said he would get us tickets, which I’m incredibly thankful for, because he didn’t have to do that, heavy metal really isn’t his scene, at least not the metal I like, so I told him he doesn’t have to go if he doesn’t want to, but he insisted that he did in fact want to go with me

He has kept telling me we’re going every time I mention how excited I am, the concert is in two ish weeks and he told me he would buy the tickets today, it’s the end of the day and he still hasn’t gotten them, should I just give up on going or am I being unreasonable?

I have a hard time understanding him because he’s such a logical thinker as opposed to me, I’m a very emotional thinker
