Difference between RICO and VICAR
I see a lot of people saying VICAR and RICO are the same thing, but they’re not.
RICO is basically about the organization/group. The government is saying there is a criminal enterprise and that people involved in it participated in a pattern of crimes.
VICAR is about a specific violent crime that prosecutors say was done to help, protect, or benefit that criminal enterprise.
So think of it like:
RICO = “This group is a criminal organization, and
you were involved in it.”
VICAR = “This specific violent crime was done for/through that organization.”
With the VICAR the acts that they are saying were done for the organization are the attempted murder in ATL with von and the murder of stephon mack
also the murder of lil pab those were all the acts im the last superseding indictment so him beating the lil pab case is great for the next trial and his chance in beating it.
