Hair and Makeup

I’m a maid of honor for a November 2026 wedding. It’s bridal shower/bachelorette weekend and the bride asked my opinion on what we should do about hair and makeup - I assumed she had booked someone but did not. The wedding is also this Thanksgiving weekend.

Her thoughts are that she may not want to wear makeup, she doesn’t in her everyday life, and that we could all go to a salon to get our hair done (there’s 8 of us including the bride). Eventually she said maybe we could all do our own makeup & everyone could help each other out. I also told her she could look up some hairstyles on Pinterest to decide what she wants, all she knows is she wants half up half down. I love my best friend but a very recurring theme with her is that she doesn’t understand what goes into a wedding & is not very good at planning in advance. Everything with this wedding has been last minute. I told her maybe this weekend we could discuss it with the other bridesmaids since we’re all together for the bridal shower/bachelorette. But I do want to be prepared when we discuss it. I just don’t know what to say. I’m not a makeup/hair person and I also want to help her figure out what’s happening so I know if she’ll pay for it or if we need to.
