This is my 3rd time installing a distro. I run Windows 11at work and at home on my main rig. I found an old laptop hidden in my cable bag and decided to install Linux Mint on it and to my surprise it works really well. That laptop had Windows 8 on it when I booted it. Linux Mint brought it back to life and now my 3 year old uses it for Youtube. I had tried a Lubuntu distro on it but I wasn't liking it very much. I got my hands on an old and I mean old 2.5hdd that I had no plans for and I decided to install Linux Mint on it again. I am booting Linux Mint on my Lenovo laptop off this hdd via usb hdd docker.

I can't believe how fun this is.

I have always known about Linux but I didn't really know about Linux. I have decided to pick up some cyber security classes at my local community college. I am taking the classes for fun and to learn not so much as a career change but who knows right?

Since I was a kid I have been greatful of open source and freeware programs. My dream would be to one day give back to the community because God knows how many free programs I have used to better myself I'm talking to you OpenOffice dot Org.

My degree has two Linux courses and two python courses. I know they will be hard but I am looking forward to them.

This isn't my first venture into Linux but it doesn't mean I know anything. I played around with the steam deck when I hought it and thought about installing Steam OS on a pc I had been wanting to build using old parts but as soon as my son saw it he wanted it so I had to get better parts and install windows 11 (for gaming). The plan is to build yet another pc but this time try Ubuntu or Fedora. I have 2 computers and 4 laptops excluding my son's lol I dont think I need another pc but building them is so much fun and I really want to learn Linux and Python. I don't qualify for any aid so Im taking 1 class at a time. Wish me luck guys.

Also thanks to darknet diaries for all the good episodes and making me want go back to school. Learning on my own is hard, so even if I have to pay for classes I think it will be worth it in the end.
