Online vs. irl obsession

I found this sub by accident. I am curious about what people here think of online vs. irl obsession.

For reference I'm a guy in his late 20s from Europe. My ex was pretty obsessed with me and that's something I really adore. But I had always found it so different online vs irl. We lived far appart so we couldn't see each other often. Irl I loved the obsession so much. The clingyness, the hugging, she was always playing with my fingers whenever we we waiting somehwere in public. I adored that.
But online it just felt so different? She wasn't neceserally different in behaviour. Maybe It's just that I am not much of a texter, but sometime I just didn't feel like replying to a text because I was in the middle of a show or game or something. And wanted to finish what I was doing first. At some points I just sighed even. I still would love her and talk to her about it extensivly when I do have time. But not always right then and there. And maybe an hour or two later.

But then we'd meet up irl again I would enjoy nothing more then her sticking like a bee to honey. And really loved that affection and obsession.

I was just wondering if this is relatable to anyone. I would love to have such a relationship again but especially offline. Or maybe just more voice calling and less texting. I guess I'm just trying to figre out if I'm a bad texter or not, I'm still very communicative but not always right within the hour.

I'd also love to hear from people how they deal with their own or their loved ones obsession for them online vs offline.
