If you work in VFX, 3D, games or another technical field, are you genuinely afraid AI will take your job?
I’ve been seeing a lot of anxiety around this lately, especially from people in VFX, 3D modeling, animation and game development.
And I don’t think the fear is stupid.
People have spent 5, 10, 20 years learning Houdini, Maya, Blender, Unreal, compositing, rigging, technical art, programming and entire production pipelines.
If AI becomes capable of doing a significant part of that work, what happens to all of us?
I genuinely want to hear from people working in these fields.
Are you afraid of losing your job?
Have you already seen work disappear because of AI?
Has AI changed how you think about learning new skills or staying in the industry?
I’m not looking for an AI good / AI bad argument. I want to understand what people are actually experiencing.
