I need help with animating in DaVinci resolve

So I think this is just general tips I need not specifically DaVinci resolve but I need help covering up the stuff behind something I'm moving like making it look like it's meant to be moved like covering up the BG and making the art style match. Hope you know what I mean, anyways if there are any tips for this please tell me.
