Terminated during probation (no cause given) - how will this affect finance grad scheme applications?

Serious Answers Only

I was let go during my probation period. The official letter cites the company's general discretion during probation, no specific reason given, but it's because of me asking about part-time hours to accommodate a Masters I'm starting.

I'm now applying to finance graduate schemes (some at regulated banks). A few applications ask directly "Have you ever been dismissed from a previous employer?"

My questions:

  1. Does a no-cause probation termination like this typically get treated the same as a "real" dismissal on these disclosure questions?

  2. Has anyone here disclosed something similar (especially if it was likely tied to a scheduling/flexibility request rather than performance) and still progressed through a graduate scheme?
