And I’m sorry, but we’re supposed to believe these guys are professional horse racers in the 1890s??? for comparison professional flat jockeys in the 1890s are around 152-162 (5’0-5’4) and roughly 48-54kg (105-119 pounds) and even jump jockeys who can be taller and heavier average around 157-173cm (5’2-5’8) and about 61-68kg (135-150 pounds)

Diego is officially 180 cm / 5’11 we don’t have a canon weight for him but if we’re estimating on his build, something around 68–71 kg (150–157 pounds) is what I would guess

So if Diego is around 68–71 kg he’s already sitting roughly 17-20kg (37-40 lb?) above that sort of range BEFORE we even start thinking about the saddle and other equipment

Johnny at 172 cm / 5’8? Honestly, you could stretch it but still very tall for the typical jockey but if he’s naturally very light, you can make an argument

Bro…Mountain Tim is ALSO 180 cm / 5’11??? And I am gonna assume the other riders are of the same height range as well

The reason jockeys are short is that being smaller makes it easier to maintain a low weight while still being healthy and athletic, which you can’t do if you’re tall. Which makes the sbr cast even funnier because this wasn’t even something Araki HAD to do. We already have tons of tall jojo characters. Nobody would’ve cared if Johnny was a little shorter

Actually, having some short main characters would’ve been super cool, let the short kings race.

Yoo why are they so tall?😭
