5 interview rounds at an MNC — does a weaker final round mean rejection?
I recently interviewed with an MNC for a non-developer role and went through 5 rounds:
-
Aptitude test — pen & paper, negative marking
-
Technical Round 1 — 45+ minutes
-
GD
-
Video interview — ~30 minutes
-
Video interview — ~30 minutes
I felt pretty good about the earlier rounds, especially the technical round and first video interview.
However, I felt my last interview was average compared to my previous rounds. I answered the questions, but I don't feel I performed as strongly as I did earlier.
Now I'm overthinking and feeling like I might have been rejected.
For people who have gone through 5+ rounds at an MNC, especially for non-developer roles:
- Does going through this many rounds usually mean you're seriously shortlisted?
- Has anyone had a mediocre final round and still received an offer?
- How long did it take to get your result?
- Should I be worried about the final round being weaker than the previous ones?
Would appreciate honest experiences.
