1 month post septoplasty + adenoidectomy, deviated side still deviated and blocked
Had septoplasty + adenoidectomy about a month ago (adenoidectomy on the right side, septoplasty for a deviation on the left side). The right side has improved a little bit, which I think is mostly from the adenoidectomy, but the left side (the one that was actually deviated) is still blocked and doesn’t feel like much has changed there.
I don’t think what I’m feeling on the left is just swelling, the septum still feels bowed outward toward the left side, while the right side of it feels bent inward. It feels like an actual bend, not puffiness.
Saw my surgeon a few days ago, he checked and said everything looks fine. But I don’t see fine at all.
Anyone had this happen? deviated side still feeling deviated after a month? How long did it take to even out, or did you end up needing a follow up/revision for it? Trying to figure out if this is still just swelling or something I should push back on with my doctor.
