Just a lil’ rant

First off I really like dashing for the extra money, especially now that gas is so high, but what I really dislike is that I have to decline McDonald’s orders because the McDonald’s app offers no delivery fee, which means the customer thinks that they don’t have to tip you. I am tired of getting McDonald’s, Wendy’s, and Taco Bell orders that are three dollars with no tip. Then you get to the customers house and There’s no lights on, the walkways are blocked, You can’t see the house numbers, or they keep trying to describe the building in which you’re delivering in the pitch dark and can’t see what color the houses are.

I need for DoorDash to stop deducting points from us when we decline an offer if you’re gonna send me a $1.50 order with no tip. Please have four of them available at one time because there shouldn’t be five of us DoorDash at a McDonald’s counter.

I’m also tired of DoorDash asking me if I wanna switch locations because the other location is so busy and then I switch locations and I don’t get any orders for like a 30 mins and you can’t switch back.

And another thing 🤭, there has to be a better way of delivering to apartment complexes, like having the customer come to the lobby and pick up their order; provided they don’t have a disability that prohibits them from any of this. I feel like it’s very unsafe for some of us to be doing this in the dark. I carry an entire mess of self-defense tools with me when I deliver.

At the end of the day, it’s not that serious. It’s just minor inconveniences and little annoyances.

One last thing, I had the unfortunate pleasure of speaking with AI support, and it was very creepy and weird. It sounded like a real person and again it was creepy and weird.
