Boox or Kindle, what would be better for extensive Non-Fiction reading ?

Buying Advice

As a History major student, I'm required to read tons, but you all know Non-Fiction books cost a fortune and some of them are printed on white paper, making it worse to read.

I did a bit of research and came up with these two E-Readers. I just don't know which one would be better to use. I don't want to just waste money on a big investment so I'm taking precautions..

Mostly my preferences would be that;

I like working on pages, highlighting, taking notes or looking up the definitions

I prefer colourings to be more yellow rather than white since I better read on yellow tint.

I'm not a fan of small E-Readers cause of eye strain

My budget is around 250$, is it possible to get something decent with this amount of money ?

I'd appreciate it a lot if you guys help me make a choice between these two. Each of them with pros and cons

Thanks!
