Cops n Cabbies is way too unbalanced
Maybe skill issue but it feels like the cabbies have every advantage possible in that mode. Besides one match where I actually won as a cop (was very close though), all matches I played ended in cabbie victory with more than 40s left.
- Cabbies get numerical advantage
- As a cabbie you can break all caught cabbies out instantly
- The game mechanics make it so cabbies are way too slippery to hit unless they crash into a wall or pick up/drop off passengers.
- What's the point of the heavy police car class if it still can't destroy a cabbie in one boost hit? Especially since non-boost hits do insignificant damage so you still need two boost hits like the medium class, but you can only store one.
My ideas for any upcoming betas:
- Add one more cop, but I think that would be too chaotic and might not actually address the core issues of the mode.
- Destroying a cabbie adds to the quota of passengers the cabbies need to deliver.
- Hitting a cabbie with a turbo boost knocks one/two/three passengers (depending on the cop car class) out of the cab so the cabbie needs to get new passengers.
- Breaking cabbies out needs to take some more time, kind of like picking up passengers and maybe the time you pick one passenger up only breaks out one cabbie.
I think either one of these could help tip the scales and make the mode more cop-friendly. Otherwise the game mode will die almost instantly cause it's just not that fun to be a cop.
Thoughts? Am I the only one who felt the mode was too cabbie-friendly?
