Never thought my neighbour would become this big a part of my life

NSFWSlutty Confession (THIS HAPPENED)

Okay, this is probably the most random confession I've ever written, so here goes.

This happened around 5 years ago, during lockdown.

I was 20M, Bengali, pretty quiet and soft-spoken. She was my neighbour aunty, 34, married to a 51-year-old guy. And yeah, I'll be honest - I always found her very attractive.

Initially, I didn't really talk to her much. I knew her mostly through social media and would occasionally compliment her posts. Slowly, though, we started talking more and more.

Then somehow it became an everyday thing.

She'd ask me about random tech stuff, and I was always happy to help. Laptop problems, apps, setting things up, finding easier ways to do stuff, etc. Basically, I became her unofficial IT guy 😂

This went on for around 9 10 months, and somewhere along the way we got pretty comfortable with each other.

One day, while I was at her place, I accidentally noticed something private that made me realize there was a whole side of her personal life that I knew nothing about.

Stupidly, I took a picture.

I still regret that.

It was her private space, and I had no right to do that.

After that, whenever I talked to her, I was insanely nervous. I didn't know whether I should tell her or just forget about it.

A couple of months later, our conversations somehow became much more personal. She started opening up about her marriage and how unhappy she was with certain parts of it.

She also randomly asked me if I had a girlfriend.

I said no.

Then she goes, "You're a good guy and you're good-looking. Why don't you have a girlfriend?"

I gave the most depressing answer possible:

"Nobody chooses me."

She told me I was caring and that if we were around the same age, she might have considered dating me.

I genuinely had no idea how to react to that.

Eventually we started talking about relationships and past experiences. I told her I'd never been in a relationship before.

At some point, I finally admitted that I'd accidentally seen something private and that I'd taken a picture.

She stopped replying.

I felt horrible.

Later that night, around 1 AM, she suddenly messaged me, "Hi."

I immediately apologized. I told her I shouldn't have invaded her privacy and that she had every right to have a private life.

Then she started opening up about her marriage and how unhappy she had been feeling.

At one point, she sent me a selfie where she was crying.

That honestly hit me hard.

I didn't know what to do, so I just told her that if she ever needed someone to talk to, I'd be there.

A couple of days later, she called me because her laptop wasn't working.

I went over, fixed it, and we talked like normal.

About a week later, she asked me to come over again.

This time, she basically told me that she remembered what I'd said about being there for her and asked me to help her.

I was completely caught off guard.

Things between us crossed a boundary that day.

It happened a few more times after that.

I'm leaving the intimate details out because she's a real person, and I don't want to turn her private life into some Reddit fantasy story.

Eventually, she and her husband moved to Bangalore.

And that's basically where the whole chapter ended.

I've never told this story publicly before.

I also asked her before posting this whether she was okay with me sharing the story, and she said it was fine.

Looking back, the weirdest part isn't even what happened between us.

It's how it started.

A random neighbour asking me about her laptop somehow turned into one of the most unexpected chapters of my life.

Life is weird sometimes.
