Engine keeps giving "hints" that are blunders.

I was trying to finally learn the bishop knight mate. If you hit the hint button I consistantly get red "suggested" moves that are blunders. The pictured ones are some of the more egregious ones. I have had it suggesting moves that would stalemate or allow black to fork my bishop and knight that I can't save both.

In fact, the hint so rarely suggests the best move it seems to me that it's best use is to eliminate one possible move...
