Evri tracking not “clear or sufficient” to rely on!?
Hi, I’m new here so please forgive me.
I bought n item on Vinted, evri was the carrier: to a pick-up point
Due to illness I was unable to get to the pickup point
Parcel tracking showed each stage of the journey complete up until “Collected” - for clarity, the “Collection” circle was not filled in, not checked, not complete
I assumed it’d been sent back to seller per policy by the time I had recovered.
Over a month after delivery to the collection-point (a local post office) Vinted randomly mark the parcel as received (as if I’d picked it up) and the 48 hour ‘everything is okay / I have an issue’ window commenced.
I contacted Vinted immediately with screenshots of their own system and the Evri app parcel pages and detail clearly showing the incomplete journey. Evri tracking for the parcel still says ‘Ready for collection’ even today.
Yet Vinted have responded to say,
“I understand you’re saying you didn’t collect the parcel, but the issue was reported too late.
Unfortunately, we can’t continue the investigation because the proof provided isn’t clear or sufficient. As a result, the carrier has rejected the claim, and we’ll complete the transaction since we don’t have enough evidence that the parcel wasn’t delivered.
Thank you for your understanding.”
I am astounded, and not sure where to turn next.
What is ‘too late’ about reporting the issue within minutes of the 48 hour window being activated with no trigger?
What is not “clear or sufficient” about the carriers -own- tracking, to the carrier, or to Vinted?
There is zero evidence the parcel was collected.
The carriers tracking is evidence it was not collected.
Grateful for any advice or help you can give.
