Honey Creek Loop Trail Difficulty explained

Hi all,

Planning a trip to TN in October and have been looking into the Honey Creek Loop Trail. I keep reading about the trail being very technical and strenuous. I want to make sure we’re prepared for this so wanted to ask about more info regarding the difficulty. Also, is it better going clockwise or counterclockwise? How long does it generally take to complete?
