Need advice

Ok so long-ish post but need to add context. Also not entirely sure if this is even the right sub redit.

White female early 40s (me) and Asian male mid 20s (him).

Met at work and have rather quickly become fast friends. There is something subtle that just clicks that I cant put a word to (not for lack of trying). It's one of those friendships that just feels so natural and comfortable and like you've been friends forever already.

We both have "complicated" relationship statuses tho and this has become a more and more frequent point of conversation. Like what now and future plans (POV as individuals)

There's also the odd moment that i have said something and the reaction I've got has left me thinking ok I have either just really shown my age or crossed some cultural line i was unaware of. Ive never directly questioned it tho...

I had someone tell me a few days ago to "be careful u dont end up in a place u cant come back from."

Now I don't know if there is something staring me in the face that i cant see or if I am reading into a situation that there is nothing to read in to.

HELP!!
