FASTag can now be ported to another bank without changing the sticker

Looks like FASTag finally got something similar to mobile number portability.

NHAI has launched OneTag, which allows you to switch the bank linked to your FASTag without removing the physical FASTag sticker from your windshield. The new bank/account can be linked through the Rajmarg Yatra app.

Earlier, changing banks generally meant closing the old FASTag and getting a new one, which was annoying if the existing tag was working perfectly.

Has anyone here tried the new OneTag portability yet?

I'm particularly curious about:

• Which banks are currently supported?
• How long does the porting actually take?
• Does the existing FASTag balance transfer automatically?
• Any issues with Annual Pass after porting?

I tried it myself today, but when I selected my FASTag issued by IDBI Bank, it says that the bank is not supported for porting.
