My experience at hospital as a trans woman

A bit of context, due to body image issues, Dysphoria, lack of sex drive due to HRT and lack of confidence I haven't had sex in 3 years. Until very recently when I finally felt comfortable doing it.

Against my better judgement I went home with a random guy and has sex and the condom split. I initially wasn't too concerned but then during the night last night I just started to get really panicky about the possibility of HIV so I decided to go for an emergency PEP assessment.

My gender on the system says female but they were aware that I'm trans (due to having to disclose medications). All the nurses and doctors where so lovely and respectful! When I asked where the toilets where, they directed me to the female toilets without any issues which made the whole thing slightly better.

I hate having to go to hospital or doctors but when they are all kind and respectful it just makes it so much more tolerable.
