23 days late, tender breasts, negative test

a bit tmi. im not sure how to censor these things

so i haven't had a period since july, and i didn't realize until this week when my breasts started getting very sore, hard, and uncomfortable. i got a very cheap dollar general pregnancy test and it came out negative. im still really worried and my mom is too after telling her about it.

i took one in late august too, which also came out negative.

i keep seeing things saying to wait until you know when you missed your period for the month, or 3 weeks after you had unprotected sex- problem is, im pretty irregular anyway (not this bad usually) and lately i have unprotected sex nearly every day with my boyfriend.

should i test again?? my chest has been like this for a week now with no period. is there something else this could be?
