Buying my first light, looking for advice
Hi guys,
Ive been doing lighting for about a year, mainly borrowing nanlite lights. Particularly the fc720c and fc300b. Now I’m looking to do short films and corporate gigs.
The companies I’ve been looking at for my own light are nanlite and amaran. What I’ve found is that the amaran lights are not as powerful but the app ecosystem is better, and industry standard being the sidus app. I’ve got some short films coming up in the next 6-12 months that are quite different and require a diverse range of lighting.
I’m worried if I go with the amaran lights I will hit the ceiling with how much light I can get out of them. But also worried that the nanlite app is going to have drop out problems.
My solutions so far have been maybe buying extra lights for Amaran as they are cheaper to cover the lack of power?
Love to hear any advice experience using one or both ecosystems
Cheers
