My brahmin friend argued that caste system was supposed to be flexible and people to be able to climb upwards and I said- Why would I try to climb upwards towards the oppressors if that was the case. I'm not a selfish retard who would do and I would descend downwards to empower people to break the system. He took offence and is not talking to me.

The question is not whether an oppressive system lets me climb the ladder of hierarchy. The question is whether I feel I deserve to be where I am and people below me deserve to be where they are.
