Overreacted Or Not?

Me and my girl had our first pregnancy scare about two weeks ago.

Her period had delayed for about a week and I was afraid I had gotten her pregnant.

Fortunately her period came and she told me on her second day of the period even after telling her to update me as soon as it comes.

After getting the period update I jokingly told her that I'm becoming celibate and she become very mad at me and wouldn't talk to me.

So i'm wondering if I took the joke too far or whether she's the one that overreacted
