Medicare is ruining my life
I was on just medicaid before. And now Im on both medicare and medicaid. Theres so many errors I have to spend days on the phone correcting. Medicare doesnt cover most of my medication that medicaid would. I was paying nothing for my 20+ medications before. Now im paying for them. Even though someone who was abled but had the same income wouldnt have to. I had to switch off of my albuterol! My albuterol? Really?? Ive lost access to the only spravato clinic within a 4 hour radius. I cant be on a manged medicaid plan so I lost access to my transportation to appointments, I cant go out of town for them. If I switch to Medicare advantage for extra benefits like transportation I lose access to the majority of my doctors and specialists and would likely have to travel 3+ hours away more regularly, which i wouldn't have enough rides covered by the advantage plan for that. Im poor enough to be on medicaid. Why cant I just be on medicaid. My life would be so much easier. I cant say no to Medicare bc id lose the medicaid im pretty sure. Even if I didnt id get penalized in the future when I do need Medicare if I lose access to medicaid from a benefit increase when my parents retire. I feel so hopeless. Especially with losing spravato because that was genuinely my last option at ever getting the chance to feel mentally okay. Ive tried probably 20 different psych meds at this point and ive had to discontinue all but a mood stabilizer and a PRN anti anxiety med.
