Straight, But Curious

I’m a straight guy, well-educated, doing well in life, and pretty particular about hygiene. But I’ve been curious about exploring the gay side of things—not because I suddenly think I’m gay, but simply because I want to understand what it feels like.
Honestly, I’m a little nervous about it. Not sure whether I should actually give it a shot or just leave it as curiosity. Has anyone else been through something similar?
