LG B5 or save up for the C5? Mostly PS5 gaming
Upgrading from a cheap 50" Hisense LCD to a 65" OLED. I'll be using it mostly for PS5 gaming, some movies on the side. Viewing distance is about 2.7m, living room is fairly bright during the day but not extreme – window is off to the side, not facing the screen.
Where I live the B5 is about 40% cheaper than the C5, so the gap is significant for me.
What I'd like to hear from people who actually game on either of these:
• B5 owners – does the lower brightness bother you in HDR games, or is it a non-issue once you're playing?
• C5 owners – did you compare it with the B5 before buying, and is the difference worth the extra money for PS5?
• How are both with reflections during daytime gaming?
• Any VRR flicker, HGiG or Game Optimizer issues on either one?
Basically trying to figure out if I should buy the B5 now or keep saving for the C5. Coming from a budget LCD, will I even notice what I'm missing on the B5?
