Gold scalping as the first day trading

I've been learning and investing in general long/swing, and I started to day trade CFD xauusd a month ago, after doing a lot of backtesting and paper trading, I gain a bit, and lose a bit as a part of the learning journey and get all trading emotions with real money, the question is, is gold a bad choice to start with? Should I start with something easier and less violate, what should it be?
