Any tips regarding reliable backup power?

For context: I currently live in a provincial area in the Visayas where rolling scheduled blackouts are becoming frequent these days due to power grid issues. I did some research and found a possible solution in the form of a solar-powered hybrid generator that basically activates only when blackouts happen. Has anyone here ever had this type of setup for their home, or are there other viable options that are more suitable for long-term use?
