Got shocked for the first time today
I’ve been apprenticing the past couple months off and on and have finally been getting some part-time full-time from my boss. Got shocked pretty bad today, didn’t hurt so much as it scared the shit out of me. I’m comfortable working with live wires, I’m cautious and work at a safe pace but this job-site was supposed to be rough-ins and there shouldn’t have been power in the first place. Is it on me for not testing the romex or is this something that should’ve been voiced as a concern beforehand. Also, what are you paying your apprentices? Pay is legit now, not necessarily happy with it considering a lot of work I’ve been doing has been self-guided, sub-panel replacements, rough-ins, moulding/light and can installations. Pretty confident at this point and I’m feeling a little disheveled due to pay.
