Game Was Automatically Collecting Evidence On Twisted Nerve

Was just me and a friend and we were playing on TN, knifes only, max suspects, carriers of the vine as enemies. We were doing a pistol only "zombies" run for fun. We were killing everything on sight...everything was going good and then we got to the tunnels and we're both right next to each other. Out of nowhere the game started giving us notifications we were bagging evidence! I clearly saw my friend and he wasn't doing it, neither was I nor did we even attempt to we were just playing for fun.

Talk about creepy af, we were tripping out. We ran all the way back to the spawn, and then it happened again multiple times. Anyone else experience this haunted ass bug?
