Since the Inferno update and as more and more gear is locked behind facilities, I seen a very sharp increase in alt helpers. From just having an alt with a simple, legal, auto-click in a comp mine, driving an freighter in a mind numbing +10-20 minute trip. To the infamous macro alts at scrapmine/harvester+small gauge train+msupp printer and god knows what else.

As years go by, devman has been either introducing or increasing mechanics that don't respect a player's time, which is specially egregious with builders. Even if you are a part of a very big regiment, coordinating with dozens of people that play daily 3-6 hours, across many timezones.

Mechanics that don't respect the player's time, or are extremely unengaging to actually do. Such mechanics that encourage mindless tasks that warrant a second monitor with Netflix/Youtube/someone from your regiment streaming a movie or a tv series on Discord.

The need to camp comp/sulfur mines constantly, or you are not only getting the needed material for your goals, as hunting for a fresh comp/sulfur field is extremely hard, specially in high-pop timezones, but letting sit unused and unproduced a lot of critical resource in the logistic production cycle for your whole faction.

Endless left-click pressing at scrap fields, unless harvies are teched and not alted out of the fields. The hours of driving back and forth between mines to source the raw materials for facilities. The micro-moving of resources between facility buildings(conveyor belts anyone?). Human-piping to LTS to provide a way for other players to refuel the 100-cans liquid containers to fuel mines, until T2 facilities are unlocked. And many others that I left out.

This is only exacerbated with the increased friction and straight-up antagonistic game design flaws, and lack of moderation that creates such things such us:

The need for veritable fortresses against partisans and paraplane OPs, around facilities and specially printing pads. The rampant alting that negates any kind of public QRF vehicles at back line, unless you are in a coalition with their own stockpiles. The removal of in-game tools such as Operations, now long-relegated to Discord(which is still used as the main via of communication by the developers). Resource mechanics that foster "civil wars". Non-regi, no-rank alt accounts with private Steam profile and non-latin alphabet names to further obfuscate identification, that clean out the whole public stockpile of all the facility buildings in a hex, wrench every public harvester, firetruck, SPAA, placement of structures such as pipes, sandbags or WTs right in front of riflegarrisons/pillboxes overseen key places like beaches in backlines.

Devman has cooked the perfect environment that encourages "helper" alts. Not to even mention the use of highly ToS breaking and player-community frowned upon macros. And the tacit agreement by part of the developers that the use of single click/button press tools are allowed.

Without mentioning the lack of in-game explaining of mechanics of facilities, details of basic stuff such as factories and MPFs. And the long forgotten "training" grounds at home island, that have been forgotten well before the "full release 1.0".

Overall the situation is worsened, as devman uses as method of balance, the gating of vehicles and gear behind facilities. With all the aforementioned cost on the shoulders of the logi player. And to pour salt on the wound, the trickle down of logi QoL features that have been requested as far back as 2019 like with squad refinery queues.

Fun and engaging mechanics everyone.

And gone are the days in which Siegecamp/Clapfoot/devman held Q&A/AMAs on this cursed subreddit, and it has been one of the longest streaks without a devstream.

Anyway. It feels as if logi got more interesting but only if you are in mid-size or bigger regiment or coalition, and it feels like you are aren't contributing much if you don't have an alt or not playing 16h a day every day. And even then, a rogue alt can fuck your shit up and everyone's else too.

Still, l look with pity and sympathy to our builder brothers, that not only get shafted every single update. But the limits of what they can build get limited more and more, to then get swept away once mid-game tech unlocks, as if they built sand castles on the coast.
