newbie doing solo run, need help

I like to play solo with no AI teamates

1. what gadget should I use? what about big gadget(like mirror gun or launchers)

2. what type of armor should I use?

3. any tips or recommended playstyle for solo runs?

4. Is there any true solo run mods that remove AI teammates completely?
