Getting a Borzoi: Will I Regret It if I Dislike "Cat Personalities"?

I have long held the dream of owning a Borzoi, but I want to get your input first! 😊

To be happy with a dog, I need to feel like it truly respects me. I don't need strict, military-style obedience — just a genuine feeling of mutual respect.

I don't really like the character of cats — the feeling that they demand their boundaries are respected while disrespecting yours, doing bad things while looking you straight in the eye, and generally not giving you the feeling that they respect you. I have read a lot that Borzois have "cat personalities," so I worry I might be unhappy with one.

Please share the "feeling" of owning your Borzoi. How do you feel your relationship is? Are you both equal partners, or are you just a servant to them? And why do you think that way?
