Can hairspray (extreme hold) mist reaching the scalp cause hair loss?
I've recently realized that I've been applying an extreme-hold hairspray from quite a close range. I'm not spraying it intentionally onto my scalp, but because of the distance, a good amount of the mist definitely ends up reaching/touching my scalp.
I've been using quite a lot of it for around a month because my hair texture has gotten pretty difficult because of finasteride/Accutane.
Currently I'm on:
- 1 mg finasteride
- 5 mg oral minoxidil
- 20 mg isotretinoin (Accutane)
Could this kind of frequent hairspray use potentially cause hair loss or damage the follicles/roots? Or would any potential damage be limited to scalp irritation/dryness or hair-shaft breakage?
Ingredients:
Dimethyl Ether · Alcohol Denat. · Aqua (Water) · Octylacrylamide/Acrylates/Butylaminoethyl Methacrylate Copolymer · Aminomethyl Propanol · Parfum (Fragrance) · Benzoic Acid
Could this contribute to shedding or thinning, or am I overthinking it?
