Found a SX-70 Land Camera for 75 SEK (about 8 USD) a couple of weeks ago. It was really dirty, but it looks pretty decent after I cleaned it up. I put a new pack of film in it and it seems to work!
The first two pictures I took were indoors in bad lighting. The camera started ejecting the picture, then just went quiet. My first thought was that it was broken, but now I’m guessing it was just because of the poor lighting? I took some more shots in better lighting and got decent results after that.

I also cleaned the rollers (don’t know what they’re called? The ones where the pictures go through 😅) they were covered in white ”paint” so..

I’m thinking about reskinning it with the black skin shown in the pictures. I’ve reskinned SLRs before so I’m hoping I can do a decent job.

I’ve shot Polaroids before (back when Impossible Project started making film again), but that was with a land camera 1000 that I got from my dad. This one seems like a much more fun camera to use with more control. I’ve read that you can get an ND filter so that 600 film can be used in these. Is it a worthwhile upgrade?
Sorry for the long post (and if this is the wrong sub to post in) but I’m new to shooting Polaroids again and want to learn more!
Have a nice weekend!
