I (22F) have multiple pulmonary embolism’s, what are my odds

Physician Responded

Hello everyone, i’m on mobile and have left the hospital, but I cant help but feel like no one is being honest with me. I am so sorry for any inaccuracies or problems, I don’t really use reddit but didn’t know where else to turn.
I am 22, 178cm, 56kg, athlete (not physically violent sport), don’t smoke, on anti anxiety and insomnia medications (lexapro and escitolapram i cant spell it from memory but its close i swear).
Last saturday i noticed bad fatigue and then a couple days later chest pains and worsening fatigue, plus some memory loss, worsening physical control, and just a whole swatch of bad shit. Long story short I got sent to the emergency room by my family doctor on Wednesday, and thursday evening I had a lung vq scan. I had 2 “bigger” but still small pulmonary embolisms in my mid right lung and lower left lung, and some even smaller ones scattered throughout my lungs. None of them were big enough to operate thankfully, but Ill be on blood thinners for a long time and need regular check ups.
Now both of my parents are physiologists, so they kinda know whats going on but the way they have been treating me lately is kinda freakin me out, anything I do they look at me like I am just gonna drop dead.
I have googled pulmonary embolisms and i get how serious they are, but please be honest, will I be okay? I can’t find much thats feels accurate. I’m pretty young so i don’t know if all those scary lookin articles about seniors w them are accurate for me.
Thank you for taking the time to read this! Any info would be greatly appreciated
