Why in our schools compact low context high knowledge system isn't there

Well, hi everyone. I'm a student from India, and I've always wondered why we aren't working on compact, highly knowledgeable textbooks written in simple language.

Most of our current textbooks look so bad. They are just printed on low-quality paper with no good diagrams for better understanding. We should be making things as simple as possible for students, but if you look at NCERT chemistry books after 10th grade, you can see how poorly designed they are. There really should be higher standards right now, our books feel doomed.

I have a few thoughts I'd like to share:

  1. A practical "life lessons" book: Why don't we have a standard, compact book that teaches essential life skills? It should cover: (a) Financial knowledge (how to manage and use money) (b) Psychological knowledge and human behavior (handling relationships and talking to people) (c) Practical reasoning and critical thinking beyond just maths and physics I know we have mental ability but an enhanced version of it (d) Communication skills and basic economics (e) Geopolitics and political systems (explained simply and professionally, so youth are encouraged to get involved in politics and clean up the mess this should be explained in way like handling family relationships)
  2. A single curated guide for success: There are so many popular books and great insights on social media, but nobody has the time to read everything. Why not extract the best life lessons and combine them into one concise "super book" with everything needed to be successful?
  3. Modernizing our subject textbooks: Beyond life skills, our regular school textbooks need to look professional and up to date for 2026-2027, not like something out of the 90s. Many people find traditional books uncomfortable or boring to read, whereas digital formats like PDFs feel much more interactive and accessible.

I want to bring the era of great books back. This is how I feel about our school books, A Super Book idea like a super app tell me your opinions!
