iGloo App AI Review Can AI Actually Help Build a Community for Clients? iGloo App AI Review

Blog Post

I've been looking at different AI tools recently, and one thing I've noticed is that a lot of them are good at generating ideas but don't always do much beyond that.

You can ask an AI to write a course outline, suggest community content, create onboarding questions, or come up with a customer journey. But after getting the response, you still have to copy everything into different platforms and build the actual thing yourself.

That's what made me look into iGloo App AI.

The first thing worth mentioning is that iGloo isn't just being presented as another AI content generator. It's a community platform that includes things like a community feed, courses, events, member profiles, chat, joining questions, and gamified rewards. The AI part is designed to help create and manage some of those things inside the platform.

That distinction is probably the most interesting part.

The idea is that you connect a compatible AI client, such as Claude, ChatGPT, or another MCP-compatible client, and use it to perform supported actions inside iGloo. Instead of asking AI to give you instructions and then manually carrying them out, the connected AI can help create communities, courses, lessons, posts, events, joining questions, and rewards.

For example, you could give the AI a brief for a private community and have it help assemble the first version. You still need to check the structure, replace placeholders, apply branding, and decide what actually goes live.

I actually think that last part is important.

The platform isn't claiming that AI completely runs everything without human involvement. The user is still expected to provide the brief, review the output, check the wording, and approve the content. Some things, including branding choices and certain setup decisions, remain manual.

One feature that stood out to me is the range of supported AI actions.

According to the product information, there are 30 different AI-powered capabilities. These cover areas such as creating communities, drafting and replying to posts, managing conversations, inviting members, scheduling posts and events, building courses, adding lessons, setting course drip schedules, and configuring rewards and onboarding.

That could be useful if you're regularly managing a community and dealing with repetitive tasks.

The Commercial version adds another angle. It includes rights to build and operate communities for clients, so the product isn't only aimed at someone building a community for themselves. A freelancer, consultant, marketer, or service provider could potentially use the platform to create a community setup as part of a client service.

The page gives examples involving gyms, coaches, salons, restaurants, property businesses, local services, and product brands. The basic idea is to take a business's needs and turn them into a branded member or customer hub.

That said, I wouldn't treat the Commercial licence as a business in a box.

Having the rights to build communities for clients doesn't mean clients automatically appear. You still need to understand what a business needs, create a useful experience, communicate with the client, and actually find people willing to pay for the service.

The AI can help with production, but it doesn't replace the strategy or client relationship.

There are also some practical limitations worth knowing. The Commercial plan retains iGloo branding, so it isn't fully white-labelled. Claude and ChatGPT aren't included with the purchase, and compatible AI plans may involve separate costs. Some integrations and third-party services can also have their own charges.

It's also worth noting that each community supports up to 250 members according to the product information, so this probably isn't aimed at someone trying to build a massive community with unlimited membership.

Where I think iGloo App AI makes the most sense is for people who want to build organized communities, customer hubs, or learning spaces without manually creating every part from scratch. The Commercial version could be particularly relevant for freelancers and agencies that want to offer community setup and management as a service.

Overall, my impression is that iGloo App AI is trying to make AI more useful by connecting it directly to the software where the work happens.

Instead of generating a list of instructions, the AI can help build parts of the actual community. But the user still stays involved in reviewing the work and deciding what gets published.

If you're expecting AI to build a complete client business for you with no effort, you'll probably be disappointed. But if you're looking for a community platform where AI can help speed up the setup and ongoing management work, I can see why the concept could be useful.
