VARS - Drive Off notice fine (England)

Hi all,

This morning (12/09) I received a VARS Drive Off notice fine, dated the 05/09.

This is supposedly for driving off at a petrol station on the 30th August. I do, however, have a credit card transaction for more than the amount of fuel I supposedly stole. Unfortunately, I don't have a receipt for the transaction, which included fuel and a few miscellaneous items from the shop. Realistically, it looks like I paid for another pump.

Has anyone had any success in fighting these claims? To note, despite the fact I received it today, they've said I got two weeks from the 5th of September (i.e., 19th) to pay the fine before it increases.
