PartnerMatch was the name of the app taking the internet by storm. The name made it sound like it was just some new dating app; one of dozens, forgettable. And yet it had quietly dropped onto the app stores and spread by nothing but word of mouth. People posted about it on the internet, incredulous about the results, driving traffic to the app. Videos started popping up on Youtube of people doing the test in the app and getting quite shocking results. It had slowly but surely taken over the online discourse, with people praising its predictive abilities and questioning the results in equal measure.

So what does it actually do? Put simply, it takes some mundane information about you and uses the magic of 'AI' to find the perfect sexual partner for you among all the people who've taken the test. It asks you your name, birthday, height, favourite foods, movies you like or dislike, when you last ate cake, what the colour green smells like to you, what sort of music makes your mind vibrate... Questions that sound either completely unrelated to one's sex life or plain absurd. Somehow from that seemingly useless data it produces a match, and nobody knows how. The people who are singing its praises don't seem to care though, since there is a startling accuracy to its findings: It's brought people together who have always quietly had crushes on one another. It revealed the hidden kinks of partners in dead bedrooms, revitalising their sex life. It's also resulted in tons of hookups and new relationships starting, using the 'contact my match' feature. There is still plenty of doubt around the veracity of these stories. It could all be marketing after all. Still, the volume of testimonials at least indicated there's something to the app.
