Attention Plarium Proving Grounds feedback long-term playability

General Discussion

Separate from the criticism about reused bosses/design, my concern is whether Proving Grounds is sustainable long term. I thought the first rotation was okay, but the second is already exposing issues.

The pacing is too aggressive. Dorothy’s Chase started 19 Aug and she was first obtainable around 25 Aug. The Lion Fusion ended 3 Sep, then Oz Proving Grounds started 7 Sep. That’s ~2 weeks with Dorothy and potentially 4 days with Lion before they’re expected to be useful ×9 champs.
Getting a champ isn’t the end either: 60, ascension, books, masteries, gear, silver and testing all take significant resources/time. Three other Primary champs haven’t had their broader guaranteed events yet, Ozilda is unlikely to get one.

The ×9 Primary vs ×1.5 Secondary gap makes this much worse. It’s a 6× scoring difference, so previous champs barely provide a bridge. The mode somehow feels both too fast and too slow, you’re rushed to build new champs, but if you don’t own enough of them you’re stuck waiting for RNG/guaranteed events.

I haven’t even started this rotation. I only have Dorothy + Lion and want to compete for the tournament rewards, so there’s little point until I get at least one more ×9 champ. I also don’t know how delaying entry affects tournament matchmaking. A new rotation shouldn’t incentivise me to not play it.

The bosses are also far too tanky for a mode asking us to experiment with newly built champs. Mixing some older established champs into Primary pools would help enormously.

I’d also move important rewards like Relic Fragments to personal point thresholds. Keep the tournament, but make leaderboard rewards more bonus/prestige/flex rewards rather than critical progression.

Raise Secondary multipliers, mix old/new champs, give us more acquisition/build time and reduce boss tankiness.

At its current pace, I think Proving Grounds is only a couple more rotations away from becoming forgotten content. The concept is ok, but it needs more breathing room to remain enjoyable long ter.
