Just finished reading 'The Stand'. Found this scene deeply disturbing
Firstly, loved 'The Stand'. Should also mention, I read the entire Dark Tower series and Salem's Lot beforehand. I rate the Dark Tower as my favourite series of all time by any author.
Understand 'disturbing' is subjective, but the abuse Trashy suffered from 'The Kid' was hard to read. I think it was how Trashy normalised it in his mind and that it was nothing out of the ordinary. I was lucky enough to never go through that but I know many others have and that would have hit them a lot harder.
What a repulsive character 'The Kid' was. I think I found a Stephen King villain I despise more than Gasher from the Dark Tower.
